this script doesn't seem to be working- the text just sits on the page and the "click here" link is not active. Am i doing something wrong?

I have created a very simple html page with nothing in it, simply copied and pasted all the source codes accorging to the instruction, but all I get is the same text appearing in the browser and it doesn't work. Mr. admin, could you please me how this works instead of asking me to go to forums, it's quicker isn't it? By the way I have no table either.
